Our unwavering dedication is to our students. Ali'itasi's Polynesian dance classes are a passion project in motion aimed at fostering the development of youth, raising awareness within communities, and honoring the cherished values and traditions of Polynesian ancestors
Students will be introduced to basics steps & drills, dance terms, and light language arts. No experience needed. We'll focus on cultural styles of ori Tahiti, siva Samoa, hula, kapahaka & Maori poi, and more!

Each class is customized to the students needs and goals. Our focus typically falls under ori competition prep and strengthening: basics, style, solo choreography, confidence, and creativity.

Learn the basics of Siva 'Afi and explore the history of Samoan fire knife dancing. No experience is needed, as we'll focus on building a strong foundation of fire knife spinning skills, movements, and safety.
Ages 5 and Up

Class Fees:
One-time registration fee $25.00
Monthly dues: $30.00/mo or $90.00/3-mo or $360.00/yr
Performances: $500.00
Rentals: $500.00

All students will begin with a baton and transition into lighting their first fire knife at the desecration of their mentor.
As students become more experienced, they may become burned, singed, or blistered–especially during training.
We advise all students and parents to practice with caution and always prioritize safety. We require everyone who lights up to purchase the necessary tools to ensure safety at all times.

💃🏽’Ori Tāhiti (Agnes Manumā), Siva Sāmoa (Matt Manumā), Mā’ori (Angel Mosese), and Tongan (Sese Heimuli) and Hula (Alika Hussey) + (Kalai Chow) owner of Hoakalei Hula Studio (Our sister group that also has her own classes)
💬We are pushing our limits by enhancing our Ali’itasi members and teaching them the following:
📕Geography (Polynesian Islands)
📗Language (How to say certain phrases, colors, days of the week etc.)
📘Choreography of the different Islands, Teaching them how to Sing and Pronounce the words, translations of the music/song they are dancing to.
📙History (Important times on our different Islands what took place)
📔Knowing where their families came from
