A Polynesian-owned and operated cultural arts and entertainment company
Ali'itasi Productions was founded in 2013 under the direction of Agnes and Matthew Manumā Jr. With a remarkable 75+ years of collective experience in the Polynesian arts and entertainment industry, Ali'itasi Productions has firmly established itself as a passionate and influential force within the community due to their involvement in a myriad of public events, hosting nationwide workshops, engaging in various charitable projects, and playing a pivotal role in shaping numerous Ori Tahiti competitors and champions.
At the heart of the Manumā family's endeavors, their mission is to preserve, perpetuate, and educate others about the rich and diverse cultures of Polynesia through song and dance. As recognized by the OCA Asian Pacific Islander Advocates of Utah in 2022 with the Living Treasures Award, Ali'itasi Productions continues to stand as a proud advocate for the historic preservation and cultural perpetuation of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
Agnes Aliʻitasi Matila Manumā co-founded Aliʻitasi Productions driven by an unwavering passion and love for Polynesian arts and entertainment. Embarking on her dance journey at the tender age of five, Agnes has risen to be a dynamic force in the realm of Ori, undertaking international tours with esteemed entertainment groups and participating in an array of competitions. As a master and renowned champion of Ori Tahiti, she seamlessly blends style with a profound respect for foundational techniques. Outside of the dance studio, Agnes embodies the roles of a devoted wife and mother to five children, investing herself in their athletic pursuits. Additionally, in collaboration with her life partner, she crafts innovative choreography and cherishes the moments spent building close connections with her family and friends.
Born into the world of Siva Samoa, Matthew Manumā Jr., a proud Radford High alumnus, was immersed in Polynesian arts through his family’s involvement and their collective achievement in the We Are Samoa Festival. Cherishing his inherited devotion to Polynesian arts, Matthew naturally developed a passion for Tahitian pehe (drumbeats). With a repertoire enriched by international travels and performances alongside esteemed entertainment groups, he unceasingly showcases the rich tapestry of Polynesia through song, rhythm, and dance. In his leisure, Matthew dedicates time to his children's athletic development, crafts pehes, and enjoys quality time with family and friends.
